Your orientation, your language

Same session. Your clinical language.

Clara generates notes based on your therapeutic orientation. The session was the same: what changes is how you think about it and document it.

Same session
Laura M., 31 years old, session 6

Talked about tension with her mother. Feels pressured to make career decisions. Cries at the start of the session.

What they share

“My mother called me again to ask when I was going to make a decision about work. I felt pressured. I cried when I walked in.”

What you observe

Crying at start. Gradually calms. Intermittent eye contact. Firmer tone when talking about what she wants vs. what her mother expects.

Before you start

What people ask most before trying Clara.

See all frequently asked questions
What happens to the session audio?

It is used to prepare the transcript and the draft note. On the server it is kept encrypted for at most 14 days after processing, then deleted. If a recording is interrupted, your browser may keep a recovery copy on your computer for up to 7 days, or less if you recover or delete it.

Do I need the patient's consent?

Yes. Before a session is transcribed, the person needs to be informed and give consent. From Clara you send the form by email, and the signature is kept, with its date, alongside their clinical record. If someone prefers not to be recorded, you can document that session with your own notes.

What do I need? Does it work with video calls?

To record, you open Clara in your computer's browser, with nothing to install. In-person sessions use your computer's microphone. For video calls (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or any platform in the browser) you need Chrome, because you share the call's tab with Clara. Recording isn't available on phones or tablets.

Does it work with my therapeutic orientation?

Clara works with 16 orientations: CBT, ACT, EMDR, psychodynamic, humanistic, Gestalt, systemic, brief strategic, solution-focused, constructivist-narrative, schema therapy, IFS, DBT, mentalization-based, the PARCUVE model and integrative. You choose yours when you sign up and can change it in settings. Drafts use its language and its sections.

What happens when the trial ends?

You choose the plan that fits your practice: Essential, Professional or Expert. Since you start without a card, nothing is charged until you choose a plan. If you don't choose one, your notes stay available read-only.

How is this different from using ChatGPT?

Clara is built for therapy practice. It writes in your orientation's language, keeps each note in the person's clinical record and gives you a draft to review, with the transcript at hand, before you mark the note as reviewed. Data is hosted in the EU, is not used to train models and is covered by a data processing agreement.

Why Clara exists
